I was too late to get the mug from the 2021 fair (they sold out really fast) but did get this nice mug from the MV Agricultural Society. Check out the good work they do at:
Slip 77 is a seasonal shop in Oak Bluffs - very stylish - check out the clothing selection at: https://www.slip77.com/ Mug is enamel which is very different
Nice small mug so you can see your hot drink. The Friends of Sengekontacket is a great group dedicated to preserving the pond and barrier beach - find out more about the group and their projects at https://www.sengekontacket.org/
A long time pub in the Kelley House, the Newes is just open for dinner now - always liked to go for lunch in the fall as the dining room is really cozy.
Check out the menu and see the charming pub:

This bank had many mugs over the years - this one celebrates the 95th anniversary of the bank. The bank merged with the Dukes County Savings Bank in 2007 and became the Marthas Vineyard Savings Bank.
Here is a link to the history of the bank - hope the banks keep making great coffee mugs!

Here is a mug from a long gone gallery in Vineyard Haven - the Cricket Gallery which had cells from Walt Disney films. Nice mug and interesting collection as I recall:
this month the mug honors the US Coast Guard station at Menemsha - such a beautiful spot and such important work the Coast Guard does for us on the island. Link to their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/USCGMenemsha/
What is life on an island without boats? Here is a classic from the Vineyard Haven Yacht Club commemorating the many skilled sailors on the island. Here is a link to the Yacht Club which has been around since 1928 - soon to celebrate 100 years (let's hope for a nice new mug).

So as I understand the history, the Dukes County Historical Society was created in 1923 (as seen on the mug) and then renamed the Martha's Vineyard Historical Society in 1996. Now the collection is at the MV Museum. Luckily I have a mug from each of the generations of this great resource.
Here is an article on the history of the history group:

Years ago we had a mug dedicated to the Twin Oaks Inn (Clark House and Hanover House) - here is one unique to the Hanover House. Like so many of the small inns on the island it is no longer - sold and remaining as a private home. This is a sad loss for the island. Enjoy the mug though for many years to come.
