Mug of the Month - Vineyard Haven Yacht Club - 2005

Mug of the Month - the Martha's Vineyard Historical Society

 

So as I understand the history, the Dukes County Historical Society was created in 1923 (as seen on the mug) and then renamed the Martha's Vineyard Historical Society in 1996.  Now the collection is at the MV Museum.  Luckily I have a mug from each of the generations of this great resource.

Mug of the Month - The Hanover House

 

Years ago we had a mug dedicated to the Twin Oaks Inn (Clark House and Hanover House) - here is one unique to the Hanover House.  Like so many of the small inns on the island it is no longer - sold and remaining as a private home.  This is a sad loss for the island.  Enjoy the mug though for many years to come.

Mug of the Month - Martha's Vineyard Center for the Visual Arts (MVCVA)

Here is a mug from the Martha's Vineyard Center for the Visual Arts - we got this when the gallery wats at the site of what is now the home of the gallery of Allison Shaw.  Great handmade mug.

Mug of the Month - Antique Power Show - Excelsior Henderson

It is sad to miss so many of the fall traditions - like the Antique Power Show which was usually in October - so many talented mechanics and collectors - here is a classic mug with the Excelsior Henderson motorcycle.
