Mug of the Month - Holmes Hole Sailing Association - 1st Place

What better prize for winning a sailing race than a coffee mug!  Much more useful than a trophy.  This is a long time sailing organization on the island.  Check out race times and membership opportunities:

Mug of the Month - Among the Flowers

Among the Flowers is a long-time cafe in Edgartown.  We had a delightful lunch there this summer and got the blue mug.  I am using this picture to show the great color and shape selection of the mugs.  Food is great here.  Check out the menu:

Mug of the Month - MV Agricultural Fair

Finally the MV Agricultural Fair has a mug - many thanks to our friend for spotting this gem for us.  I don't know why they waited so long - this was the 157th fair on the island.  Always lots of fun with posters and t-shirts.  I hope they keep up this new tradition of annual mugs.

Mug of the Month - Back Door Donuts

Back Door Donuts has long been a late night favorite in Oak Bluffs.  At some point it was "discovered" and recently is a big change from the olden days of actually going up to the door - lines and ropes, etc.  Still - who doesn't love a fresh chocolate glazed on a glorious summer night!

Now with new owners hopefully it will not change any more!

Not sure if you can get the product still but the "mule" mug is beautiful (although hot coffee is not good in the copper mug) - check for updates on their web site:

Mug of the Month - Vineyard Sailing Camp

Does anyone remember the great Girl Scout Sailing Camp?  Here is a mug from the day (and a great find from the Dumptique setting the scene in the background).

Now the Girl Scouts can have their weddings there - a great venue - see the site as it looks now.

This is a really pretty mug celebrating 90 years of Cronig's Real Estate on the island.  This is a very important service industry on the island - buying, selling, and renting:  check out the listings and see the wonderful photos:
