Mug of the Month - Black Dog

The Black Dog Martha's Vineyard Nantucket Massachusetts Coffee Mug Diner StyleThe Black Dog has grown from when I remember - now it is everywhere on the island, but the mugs are part of the tradition (almost as long as the t-shirts).  Always tasty bakery and breads.  https://www.theblackdog.com/

Mug of the Month - Colonial Inn

Related imageA winter tradition is to find mugs for classic venues - here is a long time one in the heart of Edgartown.  So many small inns are gone now - our favorite was always the Daggett house with the great breakfast.
Enjoy memories with the mug - spring is on the way.

Mug of the Month - Alley's General Store

Up island life would not be the same without Alley's - open year round and they always have what you need to keep the house running, the children in fun, and food to eat.

Thanks to the MV Preservation Trust for keeping this unique institution alive:

Mug of the Month - Holmes Hole Sailing Association - 1st Place

What better prize for winning a sailing race than a coffee mug!  Much more useful than a trophy.  This is a long time sailing organization on the island.  Check out race times and membership opportunities:

Mug of the Month - Trader Jacks

What fun pirates can be (ok some of the time) - here is a vintage mug from Trader Jacks when it was in Oak Bluffs - I think it has moved on.

Mug of the Month - Among the Flowers

Among the Flowers is a long-time cafe in Edgartown.  We had a delightful lunch there this summer and got the blue mug.  I am using this picture to show the great color and shape selection of the mugs.  Food is great here.  Check out the menu:

Mug of the Month - MV Agricultural Fair

Finally the MV Agricultural Fair has a mug - many thanks to our friend for spotting this gem for us.  I don't know why they waited so long - this was the 157th fair on the island.  Always lots of fun with posters and t-shirts.  I hope they keep up this new tradition of annual mugs.
